Despite the lack of sun residents enjoyed a community fun day in Pilgrims Hatch last Friday.

The event, organised by Brentwood Council at Bishops Hall Park, included children’s rides, face painting, football and volleyball.

This summer was the first time the events have been held at different venues across the borough, visiting Hutton, Ingatestone and Pilgrims Hatch as well as their original site at King George Playing Fields and Ingrave.

The next event will be today (Friday) from 11am to 3pm at King George Playing Fields and will include a teddy bears picnic.
