Sophie Oldland of Frances Bardsley School for Girls is one step closer to donning a midwife’s uniform after some great GCSE results.
Sophie, 16, will now go on to Havering Sixth Form College to study biology, psychology, sociology and medical science. The high achiever scored an A, three Bs, five Cs and a D – as well as a distinction in health and social care.
“I want to go into midwifery,” she said. “I was really worried about English but I got an A in it, which was very surprising.”
