Four hurt in Rainham car crash

Two teenage girls have been taken to hospital following a road traffic collision in Rainham this evening (Thursday).
Emergency services were called to the junction of the A13 and Marsh Way at about 5pm. Ambulance crews immobilised the girls as a precaution using spinal boards and neck collars. They were taken to Queen’s Hospital, Romford, as a priority.
Two other patients, a man and a girl reported to be about 10 years old, were treated for minor injuries and were due to be taken to Queen’s Hospital as of 6pm. London Ambulance Service remained at the scene.
Two fire engines, including one from Dagenham, and a fire rescue unit, also arrived at the scene in Marsh Way just after 5pm.
The incident involved a single vehicle, which was in collision with a lamppost.
