As part of their tour, The Jive Aces will be encouraging people to Say No To Drugs in the Market Place on Friday, February 9 from 1pm - 2pm.

With their brand new album, Diggin’ The Roots, Vol. 1, Rhythm & Blues, The Jive Aces continue their love of making feel-good music.

They have supported the Say No to Drugs, Say Yes To Life campaign for many years, performing concerts all over the world to raise awareness of the dangers of drugs and the solutions to drug problems.

Lead singer, Ian Clarkson said: “People look up to musicians and see them taking drugs and think that they then have to use them to be a great artist.

“What they don’t realise is that without drugs they would be a lot happier, play a lot better and live a lot longer.”

Say No To Drugs, Say Yes To Life, is a youth drug education and prevention campaign sponsored by the Church of Scientology.

The six-piece group, in their famous yellow suits, have been together for more than a decade.

Their song, Bring Me Sunshine was prescribed by a doctor in Seattle to cheer up patients suffering depression, and the video of the song has received more than 3 million hits on YouTube.

“Like most artists we want to change the world for the better through our art,” said Ian.

The Jive Aces have achieved much success, by selling out the Royal Albert Hall, performing for the Queen and working with the likes of Hollywood stars, John Travolta and Van Morrison.

The group were winners of BBC TV’s Opportunity Knocks, and competed in Britain’s Got Talent in 2012.
