Florence Beeston and Peggy Kannear had a special reason to celebrate – this is their third Jubilee.
“We have had a couple of them but we can’t remember which – we’ve had a bit to drink,” laughed Florence, 78.
“The highlight of the day was the food and drink, and meeting all the neighbours – because a lot of them are new.”
Florence and 82-year-old Peggy enjoyed posing for this photograph with the champagne. “I think we’ll have to keep it now,” said Florence.
The friends have lived in New Zealand Way, Rainham, for an amazing 52 years.
