Firefighters were called to one of Collier Row’s main roads earlier this afternoon to put out an electrical fire.

A London Fire Brigade spokeswoman confirmed one engine from Romford fire station was called to the junction of Chase Cross Road and Ascension Road at 1.05pm to reports of a small electrical fire.

Firefighters were on the scene for just under an hour, and the incident was declared safe at 1.54pm.

The Met Police’s Mawneys Safer Neighbourhood Team also took to social media to advise residents to “beware and avoid the area”.
