Wennington firefighters had to extinguish a burning car in Rainham this morning.
The brigade was called at about 7am to the A13 westbound, near the Ferry Lane junction, where the car was 100 per cent alight. The vehicle’s occupants, two men reported to be in their early 20s, escaped without injury.
The fire crew spent about 90 minutes at the scene ensuring the car’s fuel tank, which had been full, did not reignite.
