Firefighters tackled a blaze on a lorry carrying beer last Friday.
Crews from Harold Hill, Brentwood and Romford, put out the fire on the M25 near the junction with the A127 on Friday around 1.45pm.
A spokesman for the fire brigade said that the lorry driver had been alerted to the fire after being flagged down by a passing motorist.
No one was hurt in the incident, which took 45 minutes to put out.
The spokesman added that the beer was not damaged either.
