The time has come to celebrate and be inspired as the finalists for the Havering Business Awards 2017 have been announced.
Havering Council has received more than 60 nominations with entries judged by a panel including its sponsors real estate investment trust Segro, accountants Haines Watts, Time 107.5FM, as well as Romford business Neopost and senior council staff.
Director of neighbourhoods and member of the judging panel Steve Moore said: “Judging this year’s awards was tough.
“Every entry was of a very high standard and each one was unique which made the decision harder.
“I’m very proud of the quality of businesses that we have in this borough and these awards give them the true recognition that they deserve.”
Judge and Time 107.5FM station manager Lorna Waters said: “We had so many worthy contenders which made this year’s judging process very difficult.
“There were lots of new businesses entering so it was really inspiring to see how well people in the borough are doing.”
Also sponsored by the Recorder alongside a number of other high profile businesses and organisations, the Havering Business Awards offer businesses across the borough with a chance to both celebrate their success and increase their presence in the public eye.
The awards will take place at the prestigious CEME Conference Centre in Rainham on February 8 next year.
This year’s categories include: Apprentice of the year, best customer service, new business of the year, growing business of the year, small to medium business of the year, large business of the year, business person of the year and Havering business of the year.
All award winners will receive a glass plaque celebrating their success and a PR package including – media coverage, social media, e-newsletter promotion to over 140,000 subscribers, and featured content on Havering Council’s website.
Tickets cost £70 and include a three course dinner with pre-dinner drinks and wine with the meal. The ceremony will also have live entertainment and is a great opportunity to network with other Havering businesses.
