Enthusiastic cadets join regulars in helping to prevent burglaries

Teenagers joined forces with officers to give out crime prevention advice to residents.

Havering’s Volunteer Cadet Corps took part in a day of action with Gooshays Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT).

The cadets helped to deliver 500 crime prevention leaflets to households in Harold Hill.

PCSO Alanna Yeomans, of Gooshays SNT, said: “I would like to thank all the cadets for their assistance. They were all extremely enthusiastic and performed their task to the very highest standard.”

Cadet Chloe Armstrong said: “I was delighted to be working to prevent crime in such a positive way. I like to think we may have helped to prevent many burglaries”.
