Elm Park motorcyclist dies from injuries after A12 crash

A man injured in a motorbike crash on Monday has died from his injuries.

The father-of-three was in critical condition after a collision on the A12 northbound at the Suffolk border.

The man, who was in his 60s and lived in Carnforth Gardens, Elm Park, died yesterday.

Police said they thought he had lost control of his Suzuki motorbike at about 7.25pm and collided with the central reservation at junction 30, Stratford St Mary.

The road was closed in both directions after the man ended up on the southbound side of the central reservation.

He was taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital, Essex.
