An elderly couple had to be cut from their car after a smash with the central reservation.
The couple in their 80s, who have not been named had to be freed from their car by firefighters from Hornchurch fire station using specialist cutting equipment after the incident at around 2.55pm in St Mary’s Lane, Upminster.
Crews from the London Ambulance also attended with a single responder in a car where the pair were taken to Queen’s Hospital in Rom Valley Way, Romford.
