Each year, hordes of Willy Wonkas, Mad Hatters, Gruffalos and Harry Potters walk the nation’s classrooms for the ultimate celebration of literature – World Book Day.
Marking its 20th anniversary on March 2, the event gives pupils (and teachers) the chance to live out their fiction fantasies, while enjoying the exclusive £1 books available with the day’s tokens.
To mark the occasion, we want to know your favourite children’s book from a selection of 10 best-selling classics.
Take the poll above to share your views, and if you’re planning on dressing up for World Book Day, don’t forget to send us your photos for the chance to be featured in our coverage.
