A teenager has been presented with a prestigious award for her services to the Girl Guides.

Molly Galvin-Law from St Edward’s Church of England School in London Road, ROmford was presented with the Baden-Powell Challenge Award, the highest award you can receive on July 19.

It took Molly, 15, about two years to complete the several stages involved in the award.

Her parents Deborah and Nigel said: “We are very proud of Molly because she went on her own to Buckingham Palace Road, London and didn’t know anyone there.

“We would like to thank the leaders Katherine Andrews and Janet Ross for all their support.”

The unit hosted a special party for Molly to celebrate achieving this award.

Molly has enjoyed her four years with the guides, where she went on numerous trips and was lucky enough to go to Euro Disney and perform on the Disney stage.
