Police appeal launched after women sexually assaulted on trains between Romford and Liverpool Street

British Transport Police detectives are appealing for the public’s help in finding a man wanted in connection with sexual assaults on trains between Romford and Liverpool Street.
The first incident was reported on October 5 last year whilst on board the 9.21am service travelling between Romford and Liverpool Street.
A man sat next to a woman in her 20s and touched her inappropriately three times during the journey.
Despite several extensive enquiries, the man was never traced.
Then, on January 9 this year whilst on board the 7.34pm service travelling between Liverpool Street and Romford, a man touched another woman in her 30s inappropriately.

Detectives now believe that both sexual assaults are linked.
They would like to speak to the man in this image as they believe he may have information which could help the investigation.

Det Con Tim Barnes said: “Unwanted sexual behaviour such as this is disgraceful and we’re working hard to trace the man responsible for these assaults.
“Acts like this will never be tolerated on the railway and everyone has the right to travel on the rail network work without fear or intimidation.
