Clued-up pupils from a Hornchurch primary school have been working hard to ensure their new green schemes bear fruit.
Towers Infant School, on Osborne Road, is getting compost and recycling projects going – and school council members have been leading the way for fellow students and staff.
The school council has held assemblies and made signs and posters to help others understand the differences between the new bins.
Green bins have been placed around the school for fruit peels and cores, a key ingredient of compost, which will eventually feed the school’s plants.
