Children at a Hornchurch primary school took a step back in time to experience what life was like during the Second World War.
Youngsters at Hacton Primary School in Chepstow Avenue looked at gas masks, rollers, flat caps and headscarves.
Year 6 children welcomed a Winston Churchill lookalike accompanied by a Wren.
Local historians David and Pauline Scott entertained the children with stories of life during the war and memorabilia from time.
