“There is little money for extra resources such as playground equipment.

“Which is why we started this drive to raise funds to pay for our children’s dreams.

“We have started a GoFundMe page and we will start selling ice creams in the playground.

“Further ideas in the pipeline include raffles and sky diving.”

Victoria, seven wrote: “I like playtime but all the time I just play the same game every day with my friends. My dream would be if we could have a climbing frame and a slide so we can play around at break-time and lunchtime.”

Sidney, eight said: “Most of the time I love playtime because I can tell jokes to my friends and we can run and chase each other around by I would love to have a multi-stage area or a climbing area. This would be amazing because we would have something fun to do at playtime and we could put on shows for our friends if we are bored. The climbing area would be fun because we can play and get fit.”

Amanda Hayward, whose eight-year-old son Ben goes to Harrow Lodge School and is a member of the school’s PTA told the Recorder: “It would mean the world to the children for them to have a new place to play at lunch time.

“You can see from the letters how much it would mean to them, and I know it is alot of money but I am really hopeful that we can get the support behind us and we can raise it.

“It isn’t going to happen overnight but fingers crossed we can raise as much as possible.”
