Havering Council is reminding all parents and carers in the borough to apply now for their child’s 2018 reception school place, even if their brother or sister is already attending their desired school choice.
The deadline is January 15.
Councillor Robert Benham, cabinet member for children and learning, said: “We want to ensure all parents in the borough complete their online application on time, as some schools in the borough receive in excess of six times more applications than places available.
“Parents are also reminded that attendance at a school nursery class or at an early years provider on school grounds does not mean an automatic transfer to the reception class of the school. If any parent has any concerns or questions, please contact the council’s admissions team.”
If your child is aged four before September 1 this year, you need to apply online for their reception school place here .
