Havering Council’s cabinet decided a draft school place proposal would enter a consultation period last night.

Members agreed that the Commissioning Plan for Educating Provision (CPEP) would be sent to schools across the borough for their input into the proposal for increasing the number of school places, as a result of an increasing birth rate and migration into the borough.

The consultation period will begin next month and a final decision on the proposal will be made in September.
