Not every child can say they’ve been to the Royal Opera House – but one group of youngsters enjoyed a performance of Alice in Wonderland at the famous venue last week.
Pupils from Emerson Park Academy, in Wych Elm Road, Emerson Park, were joined by MP Dame Angela Watkinson on their prestigious trip.
They enjoyed a special performance of the classic tale put on for school children across London.
Ballet fan Dame Angela is secretary to the parliamentary group for dance and supports schools in introducing pupils to the arts.
The Tory MP said judging by the noise level at the curtain calls the children really enjoyed the performance.
