Students from a Harold Hill school donated more than 100kg of food as part of their harvest festival events.
The pupils, from Brookside Junior School, Dagnam Park Drive, donated the food to the Harold Hill foodbank.
The foodbank, which was set up in January, helps people in need by issuing them with food vouchers.
Professionals, such as doctors and social workers, identify those in need, who are then given the vouchers. These can then be exchanged for food depending on the size of the family.
