Coopers’ Company and Coborn School, in St Mary’s Lane, Upminster, were overjoyed to see their overall A-level results increase from last year.

The school received 61.8% of A*-B grades with six of their students being accepted into Oxbridge.

Headteacher David Parry said: “The school is delighted with its A-Level results this year.

“It is particulartly pleasing to note that this is an increase on last year’s figure, bearing in mind that this was the first cohort that was not able to re-sit AS papers in January, following Michael Gove’s decision to end in-year resits.”
