Teachers in Havering are striking today, causing disruption to schools across the borough.
The walkout has been organised by the National Union of Teachers (NUT) and the National Association of Schoolmasters’ Union of Women Teachers (NASUWT) in a dispute with the government over pay, pensions and working conditions.
The strike is over government plans which will see teachers unable to claim their pensions until they are 68, performance-related pay and workloads.
Below is a list of the schools which have confirmed if they will close partially or fully.
Do you support the teachers strike? Have they disrupted your childcare plans? Contact the Romford Recorder at newsdesk@romfordrecorder.co.uk to give your views. Visit the website throughout the day for the latest on the strike.
