Football fanatic Olly Lyons-Mummery, from Romford, was thrilled to attend his first football match last weekend.
The seven-year-old, who has autism, watched the Daggers at Victoria Stadium, Victoria Road, in Dagenham.
Although the team lost two-nil to Barnet, it made no difference to Olly, who is “obsessed” by the sport, said mum Ann-Marie Lyons-Mummery.
She said: “He had a great day.
“He had a kick about on the pitch, and all the players signed his programme, he was totally over the moon.
“At home, he is always watching football, playing football or thinking about it, so this was the perfect day for him.
“Even when he is watching football on the television, he also watches it on the iPad at the same time.”
Former Chelmsford City player Frank Bishop organised the tickets for Olly after meeting Ann-Marie at a conference on autism.
He said: “As soon as I heard about Olly’s obsession with the game, I wanted to help him see his first match.
“It was a great day and we all had a lot of fun - except the score!”
