Acrobats, aerialists and clowns from across the world wowed a 600-strong audience after a school playing field was transformed for one night only.
In the space of just 24 hours, Happy’s Circus was able to set up a marquee, perform and leave with little more than a few tyre marks on the grass to show they had been there.
The fun-filled night at Engayne Primary School in Upminster last Wednesday provided plenty of laughs for everyone who attended but more importantly raised about £4,500 for the school.
Neil Levett, of the Engayne Primary Friends Association, said: “The night was superb. The circus acts are absolutely fantastic, I first saw them 18 months ago and loved it so that’s why I made sure to book them.
“The kids were shouting and screaming at the top of their voices, laughing at everything that was going on.”
Happy’s Circus raises more than £270,000 a year for schools and other good causes throughout the UK with professionally trained performers from across the world.
Using state-of-the-art sound and lighting technology, the no animals circus show provided the audience with an evening of activities and entertainment.
