Driver flees from the scene after car crashes through Romford home’s front garden

Police are searching for a driver who fled the scene after their car ploughed through a Romford home’s front garden late last night (Sunday, August 19).

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman confirmed police were called to Pettits Lane, Romford, just before midnight to reports that a car had crashed through a front garden’s wall.

The driver made off from the scene and so far investigators have not been able to trace him or her. There are no reports of any injuries at the scene.

The car will be recovered this morning and enquiries to trace the driver are ongoing.
