Residents in Romford pulled out all the stops to ensure that the festivies were in full swing at their Diamond Jubilee Street party.
Despite the rain, 170 people packed into Thames Hill Avenue, Romford to mark 60 years of the Queen’s reign.
Activities included a disco bus, sumo wrestling, bouncy castle and lots of fun and games.
The event was organised by Debra Jaiyeola, Nicki Turley and Lorraine Alavoine.
Debra said: “Everyone is depressed at the moment because of the state of the economy, but this was one opportunity where we could come together and have fun.”
