Work on demolishing a social club which has been bringing residents together for more than 100 years, has almost been completed.
The Rainham Social, Club, Upminster Road South, Rainham, officially closed down in February 2013 and was being rented out as a storage unit for an online clothes company.
A planning application to demolish the former social club was submitted in 2015 to redevelop the site for six one-bedroom flats, one retail unit and car park which was granted approval.
The club is said to have opened in the 1900s.
