The Rainham Social, Club, Upminster Road South, Rainham, officially closed down in February 2013 and was being rented out as a storage unit for an online clothes company.

A planning application to demolish the former social club was submitted in 2015 to redevelop the site for six one-bedroom flats, one retail unit and car park which was granted approval.

The club is said to have opened in the 1900s.
