George Sessions provides player ratings following the 1-0 defeat to Tranmere Rovers

Daggers fell to a disappointing 1-0 defeat to fellow strugglers Tranmere Rovers at the weekend, with Max Power scoring the only goal of the game.

Wayne Burnett’s side failed to replicate their impressive performances against Carlisle United and Bury and lost for the first time since November 18.

Mark Cousins (6) – Daggers keeper didn’t have many saves to make, but unfortunately had to pick ball out of his net after 75 minutes.

Damian Batt (7) – A shocking start to the game, getting booked inside the first two minutes, but grew as the game went on and was one of few threats for the hosts.

Ayo Obileye (7) – Solid again from the Charlton Athletic loan star. He dealt well with most of Tranmere’s attacks, although did make one poor clearance.

Scott Doe (8) – Strong performance from central defender. He handled Kayode Odejayi well when up against him. Best performer for the home side.

Brian Saah (6) – Captain for afternoon struggled to cope with Odejayi when faced with big forward, but made vital block at end of first half from Marc Laird.

Ashley Hemmings (6) – Another consistent performance from wing-back. He tried to support attack when he could, but subbed.

Billy Bingham (7) – Midfielder was trying to add urgency into Daggers game from the first whistle, but wasn’t always given options in front of him.

Joss Labadie (7) – Typical competitive display from former Rovers ace, he battled strongly in midfield and tried to get the home side into gear.

Ashley Chambers (6) – Outstanding in the last home match, however he didn’t get on the ball enough and was subbed.

Patrick Agyemang (7) – Experienced forward made his full debut and made great immediate impression, but faded as game wore on.

Jamie Cureton (6) – Cureton, unsurprisingly, had Daggers two best chances but failed to test Owain Fon Williams with each effort.

Substitutes:

Joe Widdowson, for Hemmings 61. (6) – Bury loanee made his debut for the club, but couldn’t help them salvage a draw. Tidy display.

Andre Boucaud, for Chambers 61. (6) – Trinidad and Tobago international looked to get his side passing with more intent, but didn’t have many options.

Alex Jakubiak, for Labadie 77. (6) – A really bright cameo from Watford forward, he buzzed around the Tranmere defence and tried to cause problems.
