Dagenham and Rainham MP Jon Cruddas has called on young people in his constituency to get involved in a week of events themed around parliament and democracy.
Parliament Week 2012 runs between November 19 and November 25. The timetable has yet to be announced but last year included a special question time in parliament that was attended by more than 200 young people.
Mr Cruddas said: “I’m pleased to support this exciting initiative exploring how democracy affects citizens and how they can participate in it.
“I often meet young people in Dagenham and Rainham who are keen to find out more about parliament and politics. I’d urge everyone to visit the Parliament Week website to learn more about the history of parliament, and to find out how they can get involved.”
