Staff and supporters from a Romford charity made tracks across London to raise cash for carers.
The 21-strong Crossroads Care Havering team braved one of the wettest weekends all year to run the London 10k from Hyde Park Corner to Whitehall last Sunday (July 8th). They raised more than £4,000.
The charity, based at the Victoria Centre on Pettits Lane, provides respite for the carers of children and adults with a range of disabilities and health conditions.
The money will go towards the provision of emergency respite for carers in a crisis, as well as helping buy specialist equipment to enable carers to keep looking after their loved ones.
All the Crossroads runners completed the course within two hours.
