A SEX attack victim was jailed for raping two of his brothers in the exactly same way he had been abused by a notorious Hornchurch paedophile.

The teenager, who cannot be named, was just 15 when he forced himself on his siblings who were aged between eight and 11 at the time.

Just months earlier he had testified against Glen Goldspink, from Bush Elms Road, who was jailed indefinitely in 2006 for sexually assaulting 12 boys, including the defendant.

Former newsagent Goldspink, 46, preyed on underage boys from Essex and Norfolk over a 17-year period between the late 1980s and 2005.

Goldspink was convicted - with the help of the teenager’s evidence - of a series of rape and sex assault charges after a trial at Norwich Crown Court.

But the teenager returned to his former family home where he attacked his own brothers.

One of the victims was also molested by the defendant’s 17-year-old brother who was convicted in April this year of sexual activity with a child.

The victims were targeted by their older brothers in a “squalid” home overseen by their alcoholic single mother who openly had sex in front of her children.

She left the feral youngsters to fend for themselves while drinking herself unconscious at a pub, Snaresbrook Crown Court was told.

Judge Inigo Bing said the defendant, now aged 19, had raped his brothers in a home which had a “complete moral vacuum” in conditions of “extreme deprivation”.

Sentencing the teenager to five years in a young offenders’ institution, the judge said: “The defendant and his siblings were constantly under-nourished and not properly clothed.

“In addition, the house was extremely dirty and unkempt, such that the defendant and his siblings slept frequently, if not wholly, in the same bed.

“In addition to the physical conditions of the house, the defendant’s mother behaved with an obvious degree of sexual laxity.

“The mother had many sexual partners - she often conducted herself in sight and hearing of the children.”

Judge Bing reduced the teenager’s sentence from a starting point of nine years in light of his guilty pleas and the fact he gave evidence against Goldspink.

“The consequences of the future life of the two victims cannot of course be predicted,” said the judge.

“But because the defendant himself having suffered abuse became an abuser, the court has a very strong duty to seek to protect, as much as it can, young children who are sexually and physically abused.”

The defendant raped his two brothers between 2006 and April 2007, said prosecutor Edward Lucas.

“Of course this defendant himself was abused but I’m afraid he went on to become an abuser himself,” said the barrister.

The defendant was placed on the sex offenders’ register for life.

Michael Skelley, defending, said: “He was a boy aged just 15 at the time of these offences who was, I submit, acting out some of the abuse that he himself had suffered.

“There were no proper sexual boundaries - no moral compass.”

The defendant admitted three counts of rape of a child under 13.

In 2007, Goldspink successfully challenged the minimum term he must serve before he can seek parole.

Judges at the Court of Appeal cut the time the pervert must serve from seven to five years.
