A man suffered serious head injuries when he fell after being escorted from a pub by police.
Officers were called at about 2pm by a landlord in South Street, Romford.
After removing the man from the pub, they sat him on a bench outside before going their separate ways. The man then fell and hit his head, suffering serious injuries.
Officers administered first aid and CPR before he was taken to hospital – where he is currently undergoing medical assessment.
The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed.
