A man has been bailed following his arrest in connection to the rape of a woman.
The 26-year-old man from Brentwood has been bailed pending further enquiries until November 27 following a rape which took place in the early hours of Sunday.
Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses who may have seen the woman who was in Brentwood town centre on Saturday evening.
The assault is believed to have taken place at 1am on Sunday around Coptfold Road and South Street in Brentwood.
