Train services are resuming after a man was killed by a train in Romford station.
The station itself will remain closed while emergency services are at work, a Greater Anglia spokesman confirmed.
The man was hit just after 4.15pm by the 3.30pm service from Southend Victoria to Liverpool Street.
Services from Liverpool Street to Shenfield have resumed but services to Chelmsford and Southend Victoria are still cancelled.
A BTP spokesman said: “The man was pronounced dead at the scene. We are currently working to identify him, and officers will assist in the compilation of a report for the coroner.”
The death is being treated as non-suspicious, the spokesman added.
The London Ambulance Service (LAS) attended the scene with two crews and a single responder alongside the Metropolitan and British Transport Police.
