Trains running between Shenfield and London Liverpool Street are being delayed by up to 20 minutes.
This is due to a passenger being taken ill on a train earlier this morning at Ilford.
All lines are now open, but disruption is expected until 11.30am.
A spokesman for Greater Anglia said the company would like to thank commuters for their patience and understanding while the ill passenger was treated by the emergency services.
