A time capsule to mark the 75th anniversary of a local school was buried last week.
The Mayor of Havering, Cllr Eric Munday, joined students at Sanders Draper School, in Suttons Lane, Hornchurch, as part of their celebrations. He also helped plant a tree and bury the time capsule to mark the event.
During the day staff and school governors also celebrated by hosting an afternoon cream tea event and the school prefects released 75 balloons in the school colours, purple and gold into the sky.
