The Brewery says security regarded with ‘utmost importance’ after Romford Nando’s stabbing

A spokesman for The Brewery has insisted that security is regarded with the “utmost importance” after a 19-year-old was stabbed in Nando’s in broad daylight.
Pedrito Domingos, of Cow Bridge Lane, Barking, was charged with attempted murder following the stabbing of a teenage diner in Nando’s restaurant in Romford on Friday.
He will appear in custody at Barkingside Magistrates Court today.
He is also charged with possession of class A drugs with intent to supply; threatening a person with an offensive weapon in public; and refusing a Cozart (drugs) test.
Police were called to the restaurant at the busy Brewery shopping centre at just after 4.50pm where they found the victim with multiple stab wounds.

Jessie Benchrifa, 29, of Hood Road, Rainham, saw the victim propped up against a photobooth.
“He looked like just a kid,” she said. “He was black, wearing a white T-shirt, and blue jeans.

“It was awful, especially at that time in the afternoon. He was laying there unconscious, he wasn’t awake or talking to anyone.
“There was a girl next to him trying to talk to him and there were lots of paramedics there and blood on his shirt.”
@RobynWallace_ posted on Twitter that she saw the victim lying on the floor: “Boy laying stabbed in the Brewery in Romford. So so scary that it even happens in broad daylight. Hope he’s ok.”
London Ambulance Service (LAS) and its air support took the victim to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
A Nando’s spokesman said: “Our main priority is the safety and welfare of our customers and members of staff and we are fully cooperating with the police.”
A spokesman for The Brewery insisted that security is regarded with the “utmost importance” and the centre has a 24-hour security patrol supported by CCTV coverage.
