A man charged with manslaughter will appear at the Old Bailey on April 15.
Sean Michael Boggans, 29, of Ongar Road, Brentwood, is accused of the unlawful killing of Shaun McDermott, 44, of Elm Park, Havering.
The incident is alleged to have taken place outside a pub in Romford on Sunday. Mr McDermott died at Queen’s Hospital, in Rom Valley Way, Romford, on Monday.
Boggans, an estate agent, appeared at Barkingside Court in Redbridge today.
Magistrates refused his application for bail and remanded him in custody to stand trial.
