Shoe retailer Brantano is launching a campaign to improve foot health and raise £25, 000 for charity.

The “Get Measured for Tommy’s” campaign will involve the store donating 10p to baby charity Tommy’s for every pair of feet that gets measured using the free fitting service at the Waterloo Road store.

It aims to show the importance of wearing correctly fitted shoes.

The money raised will go towards research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature births.

Mark Holt, store manager at Brantano Romford said: “We’ve been helping parents get the best fitting shoes for their children for many years, but it’s interesting to see how many adults are unaware that they should get their own feet measured.

“Our free fitting service is available for the whole family and with the Get Measured for Tommy’s campaign parents can not only look after their own family’s foot health but will also be helping towards the health of other families.”
