Gordon White, of High Road, Romford, was fined �400 for drink-driving.
The 54-year-old was also disqualified from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay �85 costs and a �15 victim surcharge.
White was found to have 72?g of alcohol in 100ml of breath when driving his Vauxhall van in Crow Lane, Romford, on September 28. The legal limit is 35?g per 100 ml.
He pleaded guilty and was fined and disqualified at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on Friday, October 12.
White can reduce his disqualification by four months if he satisfactorily completes a course approved by the secretary of state by October 2013.
