A police investigation into reports of a suspicious package closed off Horns Road in Newbury Park today.
Officers attended the B&Q carpark at around 4pm and carried out a controlled explosion. They then deemed it as a false alarm, according to a Metropolitan Police spokesman.
Traffic, including bus route 169, was diverted while officers carried out their checks.
The road was reopened at around 6pm.
