Officers from St Andrews Safer Neighbourhoods Team executed a warrant at a house in High Street, Hornchurch.
The warrant had been issued under powers granted by the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
A search of the premises was completed and a quantity of cannabis was discovered.
An 18-year-old man was given a final warning for possession of a controlled drug.
Sgt Paul Murray of St. Andrews Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “We will continue to tackle drug abuse on our ward and would encourage any member of the public with knowledge or suspicions that drugs are present at an address to contact their local SNT or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
