Police appeal for drivers to come forward who saw assault which killed Rainham mum near Lakeside

Police officers investigating the death of Rainham mum Julie Hunt in West Thurrock want to identify the drivers of four vehicles who may have witnessed the incident in which she was killed.
Ms Hunt, 47, from Rainham, east London was seriously injured near the A1306 Arterial Road, near Lakeside Shopping Centre, at around 8.30am on Friday, April 20.
Sadly, and despite the best efforts of paramedics, she died at the scene.
Senior investigating officer Det Supt Tracey Harman, from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate, said: “There were a number of vehicles driving past the scene of the assault as it was taking place and I need to speak to the drivers.
“In particular I am looking to trace the driver of a small black car, a small silver hatchback, a white hatchback, and a gold people carrier.

“I believe the drivers of these vehicles will have seen something or will have information which will help our investigation.”

Florin Ion, 31, of Ipswich Crescent, Birmingham has been charged with murder and is next due to appear in court on May 22.
