A 17-year-old boy and his mother arrested during an anti-social incident in Harold Hill have been sentenced.
The boy, who cannot be identified, admitted assault on a police officer, a public order offence whereby harassment, alarm and distress was caused, as well as handling stolen goods. He appeared on February 6 at Redbridge Magistrates’ Court.
He received a 12-month Youth Offending Order with enhanced contact with a youth offending team at least once a week.
His mother admitted obstructing the police officer who arrested her son. She was fined at the same court.
