A motorcyclist had to be taken to the hospital with head and chest injuries after a road traffic accident with a lorry this morning.
The man, who has not been named was taken to the Royal London Hospital after the smash in Launders Lane at the junction with the A1306 in Rainham at around 7.15am today (Wednesday October 12) with a black tippa truck.
Police also attended where Launders Lane and New Road were closed.
There are also road closures in place on New Road and Upminster Road North and Launders Lane is currently closed in both directions.
Gill Broad was on her way to work when she saw the aftermath of the accident, she said: “I could just see the bike positioned on the road and I could just see the motorcyclist who didn’t look in a good way.”
