A man is suspected to have caused self inflicted injuries earlier tonight, in Ingrebourne Hill, Rainham Road, Rainham, just after 7.30pm.
The man was attended to by the London ambulance service and was taken to the Royal London Hospital as a priority and is now being treated for life threatening injuries.
Police are not looking for anyone in connection to the incident.
