A 22-year-old man suffered an injury to his hand during an assault in South Street, Romford, early this morning (Sunday).
Police and ambulance crews were called at 4.10am. The man was taken to hospital but his injuries were not described as serious.
A second man was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence in relation to the incident and remains in police custody.
Enquiries into the circumstances continue and anyone with information should call Police on 101.
