A 29-year-old man has received an eight-week suspended prison sentence for stealing five pairs of sunglasses from The Liberty in Romford.
Ion Motoloi pleaded guilty at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on July 22 to thieving £340 of shades from a branch of Boots the day before.
Motoloi, of Meanley Road, Manor Park, had his prison sentence suspended for 12 months and must also comply with a six-week curfew order where he must remain at home between 7pm-7am.
He was ordered to pay £85 costs to the CPS, an £80 victim surcharge and £55 compensation.
